Here's how I cook the perfect steak, "Honey, I have some tri-tip here and I don't know how to use the BBQ. Do you mind making dinner tonight? I'll clean up."
He pretty much follows your steps #1-5, but he takes his games outside to the patio (I believe it's MindCraft still) and plays, every once in a while checking the tri-tip. He always makes the perfect steak.
